If you are having difficulty with accessing your email please follow the steps below:
PC
1. Confirm you can access your email by logging in at https://mail.b.hostedemail.com 2. Double-check that you've entered your "username" as your email address with an @ sign and not with a % sign. 3. Double-check your email server is mail.b.hostedemail.com
4. Flush your cached DNS settings on your computer
a. Click to 'Start' -> 'Run' on your Windows Start Menu b. Type 'cmd' and press 'Enter.' A Command Prompt will pop up. c. At the prompt, type: ipconfig /flushdns
d. Press enter. You should get a message like:
Windows IP Configuration Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.
MAC
1. Confirm you can access your email by logging in at https://mail.b.hostedemail.com 2. Double-check that you've entered your "username" as your email address with an @ sign and not with a % sign. 3. Double-check your email server is mail.b.hostedemail.com 4. Flush your cached DNS settings on your computer
a. Go to 'Applications' -> 'Utilities' -> 'Terminal'. Then preform the following, using the instructions for your version of Mac OSX.
- In Mac OSX Leopard, you can use the following command:
dscacheutil -flushcache
- In Mac OSX versions 10.5.1 and before, you can use the following command:
lookupd -flushcache
5. Please go to 'Mail' -> 'Preferences' -> 'Accounts' -> 'Advanced' and change your authentication to Password instead of MD5-Challenge Response. NOTE: If you are still unable to connect to your email please contact Support by clicking the 'Support Requests' tab -> 'Submit a New Request'.
