Create an Email Account
You need to set up a domain name on you website before you can add new email accounts.
- From the 'Dashboard' -> 'Overview', select the site you want to setup email for.
- Click on the 'Edit Site' tab -> 'Domain & Email' -> on the left-hand menu click on 'Email'.
- Click on 'Add Email Account'.
- Enter the name of the person that will use the email account.
- NOTE: This is not the username of the account.
- WARNING: Do not use special characters like & or %, etc.
- Enter the address.
- Enter the password.
Password notes:
- Passwords must contain a combination of letters and numbers
- Must be at least 6 characters in length
- Are case-sensitive
- Enter the password once more to confirm.
- Click on 'Create Account'.
Setup Your Email Client
On the right-hand side is a list of popular email clients (programs) that you may use to send and receive your email with. Click on the program you have installed on your computer to access step-by-step instructions.
If your email client asks for the username of the email account, it will be your full email address, for example you@yourdomain.com.
Edit an Existing Email Account
You may change the password for your email account(s) at any time, or update the name of the user or comments for the account.
- From the 'Dashboard' -> 'Overview', select the site you want to setup email for.
- Click on the 'Edit Site' tab -> 'Domain & Email' -> on the left-hand menu click on 'Email'.
- Click on 'Edit' on the right-hand side beside the account.
- Make any changes, then click on 'Save'.
Troubleshooting
When submitting a ticket to the support team for assistance, please provide the following information:
- The full email address.
- The password for the email address.
- The complete contents of the error message you are receiving, including any and all error numbers.
- The email program you use to check your email account.
- The Internet Service Provider you use to connect to the internet.
- Any internet security configuration you have set up, such as anti-virus and firewall programs.
