Create a Link That Opens in New Window

Create a link that opens in a new browser window:

  1. Visit the page you're adding the link to and click 'Edit Page' on the toolbar.
  2. Type and highlight the text you want to use as your link.
  3. Click on the 'Link' button in the toolbar of the Easy Editor.
  4. A window pops up. Enter your web address in the 'URL' field.
  5. Click on the'Target' tab.
  6. Select 'New Window (_blank)' from the drop down menu called 'Target'
  7. Click 'OK'.
  8. Save your changes by clicking on the green 'Save' button at the top right or bottom of your Edit Page.


You can also edit a link to have it open in a new window

  1. Navigate to the webpage of your site with the existing link.
  2. Go to 'Edit Page'.
  3. Right click on the link and select 'Edit Link'.
  4. Click on the'Target' tab.
  5. Select 'New Window (_blank)' from the drop down menu called 'Target'
  6. Click 'OK'.
  7. Save your changes by clicking on the green 'Save' button at the top right or bottom of your Edit Page.
