Add/Remove the "Powered By" Link
You might wonder why there's a "Powered By" link at the bottom of your pages. Yes, it does promote our web builder, but did you know that you can get your site for free if people click on it and sign up for a site?

Each time a person signs up for a site via your link and converts their site to paid, you earn 5 credits. Each credit is equal to $1 off your monthly hosting fee as long as:

  • The customer keeps paying for his/her site each month.
  • You have enough credits to cover your whole cost per month.

Yellow Warning NOTE: the referral program is only available on some of our website builders. To see if the program is available to you, click on 'ACCOUNT' and see if you have the option 'Get a Free Website' in the left hand column.

For accounts that DO have the Referral Program

To add the "Referral Link" to the bottom of your web pages:

  1. Click the 'Account' link in the upper right of the website builder. -> 'Get a Free Website'.
  2. Check 'Powered by...'. The referral link will be added to all of your websites in your account.
  3. Click 'Save'.

To remove the "Referral Link" from the bottom of your web pages:

  1. Click the 'Account' link in the upper right of the website builder. -> 'Get a Free Website'.
  2. Check 'No thanks, I don't want a referral link on my website'. The referral link will be removed from all of your websites in your account.
  3. Click 'Save'.

For accounts that DO NOT have the Referral Program

  1. Click the 'Account' link in the upper right of the website builder -> 'Referral Link'.
  2. Check 'Powered by...'.  The referral link will be added to all of your websites in your account.
  3. Click 'Save'.

Remove the "Referral Link"

To remove the "Referral Link" from the bottom of your web pages:

  1. Click the 'Account' link in the upper right of the website builder -> 'Referral Link'.
  2. Check 'No thanks, I don't want a referral link on my website'.  The referral link will be removed from all of your websites in your account.
  3. Click 'Save'.
