Guest Book Error - Redirecting

If your guest book is redirecting to another page, it's likely that this is happening because someone has posted a message to your Guestbook that includes the HTML to redirect to a new page.

Because Spammers like this use Dynamic IP addresses, unfortunately it is not possible to block them from your Guest Book and your best option is to monitor your Guest Book regularly to remove any unwanted entries.

In future, you can remove Redirects from your Guestbook yourself by following these steps to first disable JavaScript and META Redirects in your browser (you must use Internet Explorer).

Once you disable JavaScript and META Redirects you will be able to access the page in View Page mode and click 'Delete' on the spam entries:

JavaScript Redirects:

In your browser:

  1. Click to 'Tools' -> 'Internet Options' -> 'Security' -> 'Custom Level' -> 'Active Scripting=Disable'
  2. Access the page by logging in and clicking your site name on Dashboard.
  3. Click 'Delete' on the post containing the redirect.

META Refresh Redirects:

In your browser:

  1. Click 'Tools' -> 'Internet Options' -> 'Security' -> 'Custom Level' -> 'Allow META Refresh=Disable'
  2. Access the page by logging in and clicking on your site name in Dashboard.
  3. Click 'Delete' on the post containing the redirect.

If you have any trouble with any, just let us know and we'll be happy to assist.

Green Warning Make sure to re-enable JavaScript/META Refresh when done.
