How Customers Access Downloadable Products

When you add a downloadable product to your catalog, a hidden Downloads page is added to your website. How your customer accesses the Downloads page depends on your payment processing method.

The Downloads page is password protected, so when your customer is checking out, they'll be asked to create a login and password. This login information will allow them access their downloaded products and to checkout more quickly in the future, as their shipping and billing information is saved.

If you manually add a Downloads page to your website, your customers will be able to easily access the items they've purchased at any time, using their login information.
