Search Term Selection - With Self Serve, you select your own terms following Yahoo!'s editorial guidelines and submit them for editorial review.
Titles & Descriptions - With Self Serve, you write your own titles and descriptions following Yahoo!'s editorial guidelines and submit them for editorial review.
Budget Advice and Strategy - With Self Serve, you can research Yahoo!'s search volume data yourself.
Control of Your Campaign - You retain full control of your advertising with either sign-up plan.
Tracking URLs - A tracking URL is your Web address (http://www.mycompany.com) with a special code attached (http://www.mycompany.com?source=overture). This lets you identify clicks from the Yahoo! network, even when the clicks are from one of Yahoo!'s partners.
Editorial Approval - Self Serve listings receive no expert feedback before submission and are subject to editorial review, which may take longer. Self Serve listings that do not initially meet Yahoo!'s guidelines must be modified and resubmitted.
How To Get Your $60 Yahoo! Search Marketing Credit2
To sign up for a Yahoo! Search Marketing account and receive your $60 credit*:
- Click on the "Marketing" tab
- On the left-hand menu click on "Make Money"
- Scroll down to Pay Per Click
- Click on "Yahoo! Search Marketing Pay-Per-Click Advertising - $60 Credit"
- Click on "Sign Up!"
- Choose your sign up option by clicking on Self Serve.
Select a Username, Password and verify your Contact, Company and Billing information. At Step 5, be sure to select your sign up method of Self Serve.2
Notes:
- Username -- must contain 6-10 characters, only letters or numbers
Password -- must contain 6-10 characters, must include at least one letter and one number
Then, put a check by "I agree to Terms and Conditions" and click "Sign Up."
IMPORTANT: You will then receive an email from Yahoo! Search Marketing. Follow the instructions from the email on how to activate your account and then you will receive the $60 credit.
