The header is an image that is part of your template and appears at the top of every page. You can add your own custom header by inserting an image or combination of images that you've created in another program and stored on your computer.
To add your own header image:
Go to 'Design' -> 'Edit Current Template' ->'Edit Header'.
You will need to clear the current image from your header, otherwise your added image
may appear along with the current one. To do this, click on the 'Delete' link next to each of the placement options. You will need to confirm that you do want to delete the image for each of the 'Delete' links that you click on.
To save your changes, click the green'Save' button.
You'll see that you no longer have a header image in the preview pane and you can now upload your own images. There will be two options for how you insert your uploaded header image:
Header Image: The image aligns to the left of the header, and shows over any background image you add. Background Image: The image will tile, or repeat, throughout the header area and show behind any text or 'Header' image.
To insert your image:
Click 'Choose...' next to the option that you want to place the image within.
Select the image you want to use from your computer.
Once you have chosen the image, click on the green 'Save' button. You'll then see your added image in the preview pane.
Click 'View Page' on the editing toolbar to see how it looks on the rest of your site.
Note: If you have a 'Right' header image, removing it will remove the option to ever add another right-aligned image.
Changing the Header Background Color
You may also choose the background of your header area. This is the color that will show if your header image doesn't cover the entire header area.
Go to 'Design' -> 'Edit Current Template' -> 'Edit Header'.
Click the colored square next to'Background Color' and choose a color.
Adding Text to the Header
You can add up to three lines of text and place them anywhere within the Header area.
Go to 'Design' -> 'Edit Current Template' -> 'Edit Header'.
Click the'Add Text to Header' button. You can add up to 100 characters of text. The fonts are limited to web-ready fonts (those that are compatible with most Internet browsers).
Reposition your text by clicking the 'Add Text to Header' button. In this screen, you will be able to click and drag each line of text until it's positioned to your liking.
Click the green 'Save' button when you are finished with these changes.
