Send and Receive Email in Mac OS X Mail (10.4 Tiger)
Follow the steps below to set up your email address on your Mac running OS X 10.4 (Tiger).
  1. Open the Mail application, found in the Applications folder. Click on 'File', then click 'Add Account'. Use these settings and click 'OK'.

Full Name: name that will be seen by email recipients
Email Address: your email address
Incoming Mail Server: mail.b.hostedemail.com
Account Type: POP
Username: your email address
Password: your email account password
Outgoing (SMTP) Server: mail.b.hostedemail.com

  1. Once you've set up the account as above, click 'Mail', then click 'Preferences' in the menu bar (top of the screen).
  2. In the 'Accounts' section, select 'Password' in the 'Authentication' dropdown menu, then enter your username and password as in step 1 and click 'OK'.
