Click 'Tools' on the toolbar, then click 'Accounts'.
Click the 'Mail' tab, and then click 'New'.
If the Account Setup Assistant appears, click 'Configure account manually'.
On the Account type pop-up menu, select 'POP' as 'Account
type' and then click 'OK'.
Use these settings and then click 'OK'.:
Account Name: [enter any name you wish]
Name: [name that will be seen by email recipients]
E-mail address: [your email address]
Account ID: [your email address]
POP server: Server: mail.[host.name]
Password: [your email account password]
SMTP server: mail.[host.name]
Under 'Sending Mail', click the 'Click here for
advanced sending options'
button. In the resulting window, select 'SMTP server requires
authentication' and 'Use same settings as receiving mail
