Send and Receive Email in Thunderbird 2.x
  1. Click on 'Create a new account'.
  2. Select 'Email account' and click 'Next'.
  3. Enter the following and click 'Next'.

    Your Name: [name that will be seen by email recipients]
    Email Address: [your email address]

  1. Use these settings and click 'Next'.

    POP
    Incoming Server: mail.b.hostedemail.com

    Use global inbox: CHECKED

  1. For Incoming User Name enter your email address. Click 'Next'.
  2. For Account Name, enter the name you would like to use to refer to this account. Click on 'Next'.
  3. You will get a summary of your information. It should be as follows:

    Account Name: [name you want to use as your reference for your account]
    Email Address: [your email account]
    Incoming User Name: [your email address]
    Incoming Server Name: mail.b.hostedemail.com
    Incoming Server Type: POP3
    Outgoing User Name: [your email address]
    Outgoing Server Name (SMTP): mail.b.hostedemail.com


  4. Click 'Finish' to set up your account.
